Other Angell Families Living in Australia

George Arthur Wyndham Angell
Hi Rodney, I am responding to your invitation for Robert Angell to join your family site. It's great you have done so much work on your side of the Angell family.
Like you, we originated in the UK, but we havent been able to go back very far in years. I have only recently started putting our family tree on the Ancestry.com site but there is a not a lot of info to go on because my Dad's Dad (George Arthur Wyndham Angell ) immigrated to Australia - (Melbourne) from the UK back in 1936, so we have only been in Australia since then.
Our family, which is as far as we have gone so far, starts with Arthur Frank Angell, who I believe was living somewhere near Bath. He married Agneta Darlow and they had 3 sons.
1. * George Arthur Wyndham Angell born 9/12/1904 - our Grandfather, moved to Melbourne with his wife in about 1936.
2. Frank Angell who married twice and had one Son = George - to his first wife (this branch of the family I believe could still live in the UK).
3. Osbert Darlow Angell, who married Madge ? and they have 2 kids - 1. Ian Angell - m to Anna, and they have 4 children, all still live in UK,
- 2. Rosemary Angell m Hugh Edmonds, they have 2 children and still live in UK.
Our Grandfather George A.W. Angell was born in Lyncombe (Bath, England) but married french grandma Paulette, I.H.Cifolelli of Le Havre in France in 1929 and they had 2 sons;
1.* Leslie Paul George Angell (my dad)
2. John Darlow Angell m. Elizabeth and they have 3 daughters, all who currently live in Melbourne, Australia.
Our Dad *Leslie PG Angell m. Fay Elizabeth Eddy and they have 5 children (us) - all still living.
1. Geoffrey Paul Wyndham Angell - 1957 - currently living in Sydney, not married
2. Sue Melanie Angell (me) - 1958 - currently living in Sydney = 2 sons, 1 daughter (Hurst)
3. Sally Elizabeth Angell - 1961 - currently living in Melbourne = 3 sons (Dowlings)
4. Robert L.W. Angell - 1962 - currently living in Sydney = 4 children, 3 girls, 1 son = Rupert Angell
5. Lisa Katherine Angell - 1964 - currently living in Brisbane, = 1 son, 1 daughter (Whitbourn)
Hope this adds something to your family tree and in the meantime I am emailing my Dad's Cousins in the UK and trying to get more info going back in time as to who was the father of Arthur Frank, etc.
